Multicultural Councils

Multicultural New Zealand - the NZ Federation of Multicultural Councils – for contact details to all 23 affiliated Regional Multicultural Councils around New Zealand.

Office of Ethnic Communities – this is the government department that works for all the different ethnic communities in New Zealand:

Local Government NZ - this is the website for you if you are looking to
connect with your local Council and services. Local Councils have useful
information about recycling and kerbside collection, building consents,
libraries, parks and much more:

Human Rights Commission – works for positive race relations and against racism, promotes and protects Human Rights (including gender, disability and other rights) in New Zealand:

Ministry of Education - this is the government agency for all things to do with education – if you would like to find out more about the school system, school holidays and much more this is the website to visit:

NZQA – this is the NZ Qualifications Authority which is helpful if you want to study in NZ or need your overseas qualifications assessed:

Ministry for Women – the government agency working for women and promoting Women’s Rights:

Department of Conservation – the government agency in charge of nature conservation/protection and recreation opportunities, such as walking tracks and backcountry huts:
